Cougars Now Ranked 13th in NFCA/GoRout DII Coaches Poll

LAKEWOOD, CO- The NFCA/GoRout DII Coaches Poll released on Tuesday, and after one of the most dominant sweeps in program history, the Cougars moved up two more spots to #13. 

CCU took their bats on the road to nearby Regis and swept the Rangers in convincing fashion with three run-rule victories in a dominant display of offense. Winning by scores of 21-1, 20-3, 13-4 and 14-4, Colorado Christian continued to prove they are the team to beat in the RMAC. With a 15-run first inning in game one on Friday, the Cougars surged to their 500th win in program history as they reached the milestone in just their 14th year of existence. 

CCU also holds a top 10 spot in a number of statistical categories across all of DII. They currently sit at third in team batting average at 0.368, 9th in on-base percentage at 0.437, second in slugging percentage at 0.602, third in scoring at 8.93 runs per game, 10th in home runs per game at 1.14, 4th in win-loss percentage at 0.929 and 7th in double plays per game at 0.57. 

Colorado Christian will look to make it five straight conference sweeps when they take on Colorado School of Mines in Golden March 21-22.
