LAKEWOOD, CO – The Colorado Christian women's golf team is ready for another shot at pursing the program's first ever conference title and NCAA postseason appearance.
Last season the squad came just short of attaining their goal but with the most talented roster in school history, the Cougars have legitimate chance to achieve new found success.
With the season beginning next week at the Swan Memorial Invitational, the eight-person roster is primed for a high level of achievement.
The top returners for the squad will are Faith Kilgore and Emily Donaldson. Both earned first-team all-conference honors with Kilgore earning the league's Golfer of the Year honors. She also garnered All American accolades during the 2020-21 campaign.
Courtney Andersson and Emily Doeden are back for their third season in a Cougars uniform. Both have experience playing as a top five golfer in numerous events. Expect their experience to pay dividends for the team as the season progresses.
Maggie Porter rounds out the returning golfers on the team. During her freshman campaign last season, the Tennessee native competed in 18 rounds in eight events.
A trio of newcomers will provide a significant boost. Transfers Kiersten Bryant and Michaela Cox have noteworthy collegiate knowledge in the bag after recently competing and West Texas A&M and Elon respectively.
Freshman Mary Beth Doss might be youthful but has the ability to provide a major spark to the team's efforts.
