The Cougs Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the 2022 RMAC Championships over the weekend down in Durango, Co on Saturday and competed well in cold conditions. Hudson Majeski earned Second Team All-Conference honors for his performance on the day.

Men's Recap:Â Â Â Â Hudson Majeski finished in the top 20 as he came in 19
th place with a time of 25:30.10 which also landed him on the Second Team All-Conference honors. Nico Ramirez crossed the line next for the Cougars as he had a time of 26:48.10, following close behind were a pair of teammates Ethan Wampler (26:54.20) and Chase Bracher (27:03.00). Also competing the Cougs were sell represented by
Noah Burroughs (27:25.00), Tate Fletcher (28:00.10), Kale Edmonds (28:24.40), and Tanner James (28:49.60).

Women's Recap:Â Â Â Â Alayna Wallace led the way for the women's team as she posted a time of 23:55.80. Coming in next for CCU was Reagan Boling with a time of 24:27.90. Norah Thompson ran a time of 25:03.30 followed by Benisa Ellis (25:19.40). Rounding out the Cougars who competed in the Championships were
Elisa Hernandez (25:34.10), Sarah Hamlin (26:28.30), Aislinn Warmka (26:48.70), Anna McLaughlin (27:20.10), and Maranatha Brueckner (29:11.80).

Jon Poag spoke after the race saying "Both of our squads were in tight battles today, our women showed a lot of improvement from last year, they were 6 points off of a top 10 finish. Happy to see these groups of athletes progressing and showing improvement. Our underclassmen ran really strong today, looking forward to seeing them progress year over year."

Up next for the Cougs XC Teams will be NCAA Regionals on November 19
th which will be local as it is being hosted at Wash Park in Denver, CO. Come out and support the Cougs as they run at the South Central Regional Championship.
