ROHNERT PARK, CA- The Cougars headed to California to take part in the NCAA West Regional Fall Preview September 19-20. The team saw many strong rounds as they took sixth overall amidst a tough field of competitors.
ROUND ONE
Dylan Arthur led the team in the first round with a 71, good for one under par with five birdies on the round. Xavier Bighaus followed with an even par round of 72 while Adam Duncan and Zach Slayton each tallied 73s. Peyton Jones closed out the round with a 76 as they continued to round two on day one.
ROUND TWO
Duncan started strong in round two and never looked back, posting an eagle on the first hole and birdieing holes 6-9 to finish three under par with a 69. Arthur was once again strong, carding a 70 that included seven birdies. Bighaus shaved a stroke off his previous round, tallying a 71 while Slayton and Jones each posted 74s.
ROUND THREE
Arthur closed strong, shooting four birdies on his way to a 70 as he finished in seventh place at five under par in total. Duncan followed with a 71 to close in a tie for 10th overall. Bighaus carded a 77 as he finished in a tie for 31st. Jones had a quality final round of 72 to place in a tie for 38th. Slayton closed in a tie for 47th as he shot a 77 on the final round.
In total, the Cougars were two under par with a score of 863 as they took sixth place overall out of the 11 teams competing.
UP NEXT- Colorado Christian will now head to Amarillo, Texas to take part in the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational October 2-4.
