COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- The Cougars headed down to Colorado Springs on Saturday to take part in the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite. The team saw a plethora of strong performances on both the men's and women's sides.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Hannah George competed in the 60m, running a time of 7.89 to take sixth in the event.
Sarah Hamlin took part in the 1 mile race, posting a time of 5:48.08 to take seventh while
Beth Pierantoni ran a 5:56.29 to take 10th in the event.
Michelle Kuipers ran a blistering time of 1:00.75 in the 400m, nearly breaking the school record of 1:00.49 to take seventh. New team member
Molly Miller, who also competes for women's soccer at CCU, paced her squad in the 800 meter with a mark of 2:32.34 to take fifth overall.
Reagan Boling came close behind in seventh with a time of 2:34.45 for seventh place.
MEN'S RECAP
Tyler Bradley showed off his speed in the 200m, coming in third place overall with a blazing time of 22.97.
Jonah Beard followed closely behind in fifth with a mark of 23.54.
Gabe Ring and
Nate Johnson took part in the 400 meter, coming in ninth and tenth with times of 54:21 and 54.40 respectively.
Trent Cochran shone in the 800m, tallying a time of 2:00.15 to take home fifth place in the event. Closing out the men's runners.
Caleb Hershey ran the 3000m, bringing home fifth with a mark of nine minutes 17 seconds in the endurance race.
Colorado Christian will be back at the Mountain Lion Field House for the second weekend in a row on January 28th for the Colorado Running Company Mountain Lion Open.
