Mark Hull Named RMAC Coach of the Year

LAKEWOOD, CO- After the best season in men's golf program history, their leader has been recognized for his efforts. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their postseason awards on Tuesday, and Mark Hull has been named the RMAC Coach of the Year for the third time in his coaching career at CCU.

Hull led a talented group of golfers this year, and they had high expectations all year long. They did not disappoint, as Hull guided Adam Duncan to his first collegiate win at the season opening tournament in Lakewood. The team really caught fire in the spring, posting an incredible record of 76-8-1 in head-to-head matchups. Hull's consistent leadership helped the team take down five top 10 nationally ranked teams at the Las Vegas Desert Classic as they claimed an incredible win. They followed it up with yet another victory at the Southern CO Masters the next week, the first time in program history they have won consecutive tournaments.

Hull continued to lead his talented team, as Duncan claimed his second individual title at the aforementioned Southern CO Masters. After a few tune ups in Arizona, the Cougars headed to Nevada for the RMAC Championships. While there, Hull helped Xavier Bighaus to his first title, claiming first place amongst a talented field of conference foes. The championship had to go to a playoff before the Cougars barely fell short, but they knew they had what it took to compete well at Regionals. While there, CCU made everyone proud as they led through two days of competition. They missed out just barely on a National Championship berth with a sixth place finish, but they showed that Colorado Christian golf is a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

"Coach Hull did a tremendous job recruiting a group of young men whose excellent character matched their competitive drive, and then empowered them to compete at the highest possible level," Athletic Director Brian Wall said. "He effectively guided them to compete for a conference championship, and a strong national bid at the NCAA Regional Championships in Sonoma, CA.  I am extremely proud of Coach Hull and his team's accomplishments in this stellar 2022-2023 season."

Congratulations to Mark Hull on being named the RMAC Coach of the Year!
