LAKEWOOD, CO- The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the winner of the 2025 Dave Williams National Coach of the Year Award presented by Golf Pride Grips on Tuesday, and after guiding his team to a perfect regular season and a second straight National Championship title match, Mark Hull has earned the prestigious honor. 

Hull has been at Colorado Christian for 21 years, and in his time with the Cougars he has taken the Men's Golf program from one of the worst teams in Division II to the most dominant team the nation has ever seen the past two years. Boasting a National Championship title in the 2023-2024 season and a National Runner-Up in 2024-2025, the Cougars have become a juggernaut under Mark's leadership. 

This season was particularly memorable as CCU won every single DII tournament during the regular season, a feat never achieved before at any level of golf. They backed that up with a second straight RMAC Championship title before heading to the NCAA West/South Central Regional. The team continued their incredible form to claim the programs' first ever NCAA Regional Title as they rolled into the National Championships undefeated on the year. The team then battled a tough course in the PGA National Resort in Florida to finish first in stroke play and claim the #1 seed heading into match play. They downed Oklahoma Christian and North Georgia to make their second straight title match, where they tied 2.5-2.5 with West Florida in match play. Despite falling in a playoff hole to the Argonauts, it was one of the most memorable seasons in the history of CCU Athletics as the team showed excellence and humility throughout. 

The stats behind what the team did under Hull this season are mind boggling as the Cougars posted an incredible scoring average of 276.6, won 10 tournaments, had 12 top 3 finishes and went 153-0-1 against DII competition. Mark helped four of his players become DII Ping All-Americans and guided his players to 10 overall individual victories as they at one point boasted the #1-4 ranked players in DII. He also coached Adam Duncan to the 2025 Jack Nicklaus Golfer of the Year Award as the Cougars now claim a sweep of player and coach of the year honors. The scoring average would place the Cougars above the #8 team in Division I as they played the best golf anyone at the DII level has ever seen. 

Golf Pride Grips will present Hull with his award during the Hall of Fame Banquet at the GCAA National Convention December 9-11.
