Cougars Welcome Four More Newcomers for 2020

LAKEWOOD, CO – With the 2020 campaign slated to begin in just over two months, the Colorado Christian men's soccer program is putting the finishing touches on its incoming class.

The Cougars will welcome three high school players and a transfer during this period, after previously adding a pair of high scoring twins from Minnesota in the winter and a talented group of five players earlier this spring.

"Now, more than ever, we want to recruit players who are going to contribute on and off the field in positive ways," said head coach Brad Camp. "We want these players to be people who are inclined to listen, serve, and lead as teammates and players. These four men have the ability to do just that, and I am excited for them to join our family."

Brennan Leck

A versatile player from the Denver suburbs, Leck was a standout for Rock Canyon High School in Littleton. An all-conference player for the Jaguars, he helped lead the team to the Continental League Championships in 2016 and 2018. In addition to his on-field success, Leck was a three-time Academic All-State selection. In addition to his high school accolades, Leck was a member of the Real Colorado Elite Club National Team. Leck plans on majoring in Business Administration at Colorado Christian.

Camp on Leck: "When I was getting to know Brennan, I was struck by the things he told me he was looking for in a program. I knew that I not only wanted him as a soccer player, but I wanted his faith and personality on this team. I think he is the perfect type of player to come learn, grow, and compete here."

Michel Pinoncely

From the Lone Star State to the Rocky Mountain, Pinoncely will don a Cougars goalie uniform after solid success at the club level. While playing for the New Mexico Rush soccer club he helped the team win the PDT Real Colorado Showcase, ECNL Showcase and Gothia Cup championship. He earned his high school diploma from Immanuel Christian School in El Paso. He is interested in studying Mechanical and Industrial Engineering as well as Economics.

Camp on Pinoncely: "If you spend any time with Mihcel, you instantly like him. He has a great personality, can articulate himself well, and his faith story is really unique. On the field, he is a fierce competitor and people will want to follow the example he sets and, as we always say, that is what we want in our program."

Randy Soetedja

After a solid prep tenure at nearby Thomas Jefferson High School, Soetedja will put on a Cougar uniform with four years of eligibility. A four-year member of the Spartans varsity squad, he earned all-league honors two times. During the 2017-18 campaign he was top five in the Denver Public School League with 11 goals. In his career he scored 19 times and tallied seven assists. He plans on studying Computer Information and Science.

Camp on Soetedja: "I have known Randy for a while, and was very pleased he committed to us. With his physical and technical ability, he has the potential to really be a great player at this level. We are really looking forward to watching him take the next steps in developing into a high-quality NCAA Division II player."

Chayce Willett

A strong prep player at Cheyenne East High School, he has played for Laramie County Community College the last two seasons. Willett started all 38 games for the Golden Eagles along the backlines. During the 2019 campaign he helped the squad to the North District Championships and berth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. Individually he was a two-time Region IX selection while also earning All-West Region honors twice.  He was a three-time all-conference selection in high school and earned all-state honors once.

Camp on Willett: "The fact that Chayce has not only played at a good level of college soccer, but also received awards for his play says a lot. What really sold me on Chayce, however, was the type of person he is and however that person that knows Chayce will stop to talk to you about his character. It is rare to find a high-quality player, who is a great teammate and person, and a fierce competitor on the field. I continue to say the same thing, but the fact remains is that is the type of person that we want at Colorado Christian."
