One of the most decorated and dominant athletes to ever wear a Cougar basketball uniform, Brian Stamer joined the Cougars in 2003. After red-shirting his freshman year, the 6-7 forward began a career that would culminate in 2008 with 958 rebounds and 2007 points.
A three-time first team All RMAC selection, Stamer received All-Region recognition twice and was named the 2007-08 RMAC Player of the Year. That same year, he became the first CCU men’s basketball player to reach All-American status. In November of 2008, Stamer was one of twelve athletes selected to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Time Men’s Basketball Team – an award given to the top 12 players in the RMAC’s rich 100 year history.
After graduating in 2008, Stamer married his wife Marissa and became a father. He currently serves as Manager of Finance for Colorado Uplift, a local non-profit.
