For over 18 years, Will Kottwitz has been a loyal supporter of the Cougar Athletic Department and one of the hardest working and most dedicated members of the CCU community.

Joining CCU facilities in the fall of 1991, Kottwitz left behind a successful career producing registered Polled Hereford Cattle in central Missouri. Among his many accomplishments, Will was named the Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement (MBCIA) Seed Stock Producer of the Year and the 1989 Missouri Breeder of the Year. The Kottwitz ranching career culminated in 2001, when Will was inducted into the Missouri Polled Hereford Association Hall of Fame.

As an employee at CCU, Will has been named Staff Person of the Year, Employee of the Year and has shared the CCU Service to Community Award with John Thomas on four separate occasions. The Athletics Department honored Will in 2007 with the Will Kottwitz Servant of the Year award, an honor bestowed to one athlete who goes above and beyond expectations in community service.

Through the years, Will has served in leadership roles with 4-H Clubs, Future Farmers of America, county, district, and state youth groups, also serving nine years on local boards of education.

Will and his wife Judy have been married for over 50 years and have four children, five grand children and six great grand children.
