Gus Gill came to Colorado Christian University in 1989, serving first as a Professor in Biblical Studies, and then went on to become the Director of Campus Ministries and the University Chaplain. During his time at CCU, Gus volunteered to be an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team and provided discipleship and Bible study opportunities for volleyball, men’s soccer, and basketball. In 2002, Gus left CCU to devote full attention to his duties as Senior Pastor at Hillside Community Church in Golden.

Throughout his 13 years with the University, Gus and his family developed several meaningful relationships with Cougar athletes, many of which remain close friends to this day.
