Dr. Leroy Green served as a board member for CCU, but then became the acting President of Colorado
Christian University from 1996-1998. Green received his B.A. from Wheaton College, his M.A. from the University of Oregon, and then is Doctorate in Educational Media from the University of Northern Colorado. In his professional career, Dr. Green was a sixth grade teacher, elementary school principle, A.V. Director for District 14 Commerce City, consultant in media for the Colorado Department of Education, and professor at the University of Northern Colorado for 13 years.
Dr. Green lived an incredible life impacting many people. He served in WWII as a firefighter, and after being discharged in 1945 he pursued education, a family, and missionary work. Lee married Patricia Mae Spalding in June 1948. During their 64 year marriage they were missionaries in Africa, lived in Brussels Belgium and many places in the United States. They settled in Colorado after being on the mission field for 10 years. Lee and Patricia raised four children.
