Hall of Fame
A native of British Columbia, Canada, David Daniels moved to the US early in life and attended high school in Oregon, graduating in 1989. A passion for basketball took him to Clackamas Community College the following fall, and two years later Dave transferred to Colorado Christian University. Though he played for the Cougars only two years, he still appears in the top five of 14 CCU Basketball records.
A two-time All-Conference athlete, Dave helped lead the 1993 team to the first of two conference titles, and was also honored as the 1993 Colorado Athletic Conference MVP. He ranked second in the nation in assists the same year.
Not ready to give up basketball after his senior season, Dave spent time playing on two CBA teams and with the Rocky Mountain Review Summer Nuggets team before joining Athletes in Action in 1994.
A member of Athletes in Action for nine years, Dave joined the AIA staff in 1998, shortly after playing in the World University Games in 1997 and the World Championships in 1998. His experience as a player culminated at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where he represented Canada on their national team.
