The son of a Quaker minister, Paul Conant spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Iowa, never knowing that he would soon become one of the most prolific scorers in Rockmont College basketball history. Though records are not available, Paul is generally considered to have been one of the season and career top scorers for the Rockets during his three year career from 1971-1974.

Following graduation from Rockmont College, Paul began a 35 year career with King Soopers, including 31 years in management. He also served on the Colorado Christian University Board of Directors for eight years.

He has been married to his wife Jane for 33 years, and is the proud father of sons Eric and Andrew. Paul continues to enjoy sports, particularly coaching; which he hopes to do more of in retirement.
