A native of Longmont, Colorado, Corey Allen entered CCU as a freshman in 1997 and made an immediate impact. Teammates, coaches, and opponents recognized his ability right away, and could only watch as the talented freshman posted one of most impressive seasons in CCU golf history. By the end of that first season, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference named him Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, making him the first CCU student-athlete to earn both honors in the same season. He finished on top at the RMAC Championships that year, finishing with the lowest individual score.  Just one year later, in the spring of 2000, Corey broke the CCU scoring record after shooting a first round 6 under par 66 during the RMAC Championships in Littleton. In 2001, Corey became the first Cougar to receive the GCAA All-American Scholar award after posting a 3.27 cumulative grade point average. The Business major also received two RMAC All-Academic team nods while competing for the Cougars, and served as Vice President of the CCU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as a senior.

Corey graduated in 2001 with a degree in Business.
